Top Favorite NCAA Basketball Teams in Sportsbooks

Part of becoming a bookie is knowing what your players prefer to bet on. Not just on specific sports or tournaments, but if they favor specific teams. Why is this important, you may ask? Its very simple, really. By knowing your players’ preferences, you can easily predict their sports wagers and be able to find out how to turn it in your favor.

And for many sportsbook pay per head bookies, college basketball is very popular. Each season, bookies earns hundreds of thousands, with large sportsbook earning millions in revenue from college sports betting. Today we’re taking note of the top favorite teams of players in NCAA basketball.

5 Favorite NCAA Basketball Teams

  1. Gonzaga. Gonzaga is a Top favorite for very obvious reasons. Last season, they lost by 4 points to Baylor for the title during March Madness, but they continue to be one of the top teams this season, with a very promising roster.
  2. Kansas. Kansas is moving up this season with an amazing performance. For instance, Ochai Agbaji scored 25 points on his own in their last game.
  3. Purdue. Purdue climbs up to third favorite this season, with their last game showing the team’s strength as they beat Villanova.
  4. UCLA. UCLA started out strong this season, but their scoring has been suffering a bit, and have been getting less favorable outcomes from players who pick them as favorites on the money line.
  5. Villanova. Villanova has been steady this season. However, this could be a sort of plateau they are stuck in, where they are not losing popularity and rankings but nbot climbing up the ranks as well.

You also have other notable teams that wrap up the top 10, with Memphis, Duke, Texas, Baylor and Arkansas holding steady. Given Baylor’s win last season, they do get automatically included as a favorite. But until they can perform as good as Gonzaga or Purdue or Kansas, then there would be hesitation in picking them to win their second straight championship this season.

When it comes to college sports betting, you do have a lot of wiggle room as standings can change abruptly. So can your players’ preferences. Just stay on track with resources such as the latest in college basketball news, and monitor your players’ betting activity through your sports betting software, and you can easily steer your online sportsbook to earning a good profit on NCAA basketball this season.

Unvaccinated NBA Players May Not Play Home Games

The NBA is getting ready for the 2021-2022 season, which will be starting mid-October. And bookie software providers are already helping bookies with NBA lines as early as now. And while many are excited for what could be another unpredictable season for the professional basketball league, there are a few snags early on.

One of which is a matter of vaccination. There are certain cities in states such as New York and San Francisco, with specific regulations on playing sports. In the latest gambling news, many are talking about regulations that prohibits athletes from practicing and playing in home arenas if they are not vaccinated.

NBA Players

The NBA sent out a memo to every team this month, informing them of the regulations of these cities and states. However, not all NBA players are vaccinated. Which poses a risk to their ability to play this season. Some names are popping out of the woodwork, such as Kyrie Irving, and Andrew Wiggins. If these two, among other unvaccinated players not the shot, then they will be missing out on not just training, but from playing actual games.

This comes at a time when the NBA is finding ways to ensure that there are no game delays, cancellations, and other potential problems that they have been facing in the past two seasons. And with sports betting gaining even more popularity, these teams will be more unpredictable if we will never know the final status of these players, and if they will play or not. Your Sportsbook Strategy for the Next Month

When running an online sportsbook, your sportsbook pay per head provider will be a great help in automating processes. All wagers are automatically logged, your players limits can be set, and your lines are available, and can also be adjusted at any time you want. This gives you time to not just monitor your sportsbook and check for the latest news, but it also allows you the time to strategize and figure out how you can earn more money- both in the short and long term.

Today, we will go through what you will need to do in the immediate month of your operations. Usually a calendar month is 4 weeks, so you can safely strategize for a 4-week period. This is important because your sports betting software bills you your fees on a weekly basis. Thus, knowing your overhead each week is important.

Sportsbook Strategy

By now, you should already have an estimate of how much you will be spending for that month on pay per head fees. From there, you also need to add in how much you are keeping on hand to bankroll your sportsbook in case you misjudge your lines. This normally does not happen, but it helps to have a contingency all the time. After all, releasing payouts quickly to your players is one of the best ways to keep your players happy.

Next, look at what to expect for the month. For example, August brings us the Olympics on the first week, which has hundreds of betting events. But since it will be over this week, you should also start looking at sports events for the next few weeks. August will be important as you should be taking the time to prepare for the upcoming NFL season. With the best sports betting software, you will be getting great opening lines for the biggest sports tournament in the country. As soon as this happens, you should be ready to take in and manage NFL lines. It would also help to advertise and promote your sportsbook before the season starts. Offering a bonus or a free bet on the NFL may help you generate interest from non-active players, and also reward your active players.

Beyond the Basics of a Sportsbook Software

If you want to be a successful bookie, then you should be using a sportsbook software to run your operation. Its affordable, its efficient, and it helps you manage your sportsbook easily. When we talk about having a sportsbook software, most who are new to the business would look at it in two ways: The actual sportsbook website, and the control panel for the sportsbook.

It seems very simple to explain it that way. But the truth is, there is more to it than the basics. Let’s talk about all of the aspects of a sports betting software solution so that you know exactly how useful it will be for you. First off, you have the front end operation, or the website where your players can place their bets. This is very useful and affordable, as it usually costs a lot to have someone create a website and have it hosted online.

Sportsbook Software

Next, we go to what happens behind the scenes in your sportsbook pay per head. Yes, you do check your players accounts and you can also manage your lines there. But more than that, your software can actually help you even more. This is where your sportsbook software can truly help you be successful.

Your sportsbook software provider will have a report generating system. Here, you can look at everything about your sportsbook- how many bets, how much is being bet, how much is won, and the like. You can filter these options to only show the data that you want, to a specific time frame. You can also do this per player. With this, you are able to look at your sportsbook operation from every angle so that you can start making plans to expand, earn more, or cut any possible losses in your sportsbook. Remember, your sportsbook software has a lot of features, do not forget to use them.

NBA Teams in the Western Conference to Watch Out For

The Western Conference has a lot of teams that are really doing well this season. And over the past few weeks, some of them are truly standing out. For those who are taking the steps to becoming a bookie, it helps to see how teams are able to progress throughout the season. There are power rankings from NBA experts that change each week, and based on the recent weeks, here are the NBA Teams in the Western Conference that we are focusing on.

Western Conference Teams

First up is the Clippers, who have won all 4 of their games this week. Bookie pay per head sportsbooks will be keeping an eye on this streak, so be careful on wagers on the Clippers in the next week. This brings their streak to 5 wins, this while their roster has been rotating a lot due to player injuries. Shows a good and well-rounded roster. The Suns may have lost to the Clippers, but they are still doing well in their recent games. We still do not know if they can translate their victories to a spot in the playoffs though.

Meanwhile, you have the Celtics, who won three straight games this week, with an amazing game against the Nuggets. Their players are starting to get into the game, performing well, such as Marcus Smart, who has 17.3 points per game this week. There are more teams that are worth noting, but these teams are particularly interesting in terms of their last few games. Again, if you are still learning how to be a bookie, then take a good look at the teams and how they perform especially now that we are nearing the playoffs.

What To Bet on the NBA All Star Sunday

Those who bet on basketball have a lot to look forward to in the months to come. Aside from the NBA, they also have March Madness to place wagers on. If you are curious about college basketball betting, there is a guide to March Madness betting to help you learn how. But in the meantime, lets take a look at the betting opportunities for the NBA All-Star Sunday.

Of course, since the pandemic is still pretty much here, changes are made and precautions are taken. Instead of spreading out the events over a weekend, everything will happen in one day. Here is the schedule for the 2021, All in One NBA All Star Sunday. From here, you can see the possible wagers that you can make for each event.

NBA All Star Sunday

Before the game, we will be seeing the Skills Challenge, as well as the 3-point contest. Many bookie software solution providers take care of lines, even for these events. This means that it will be easier for you to keep track of all of the wagers for that day. Both events will start at 6:30 PM ET. The Skills Challenge will come first, followed by the 3-point shootout.

The Dunk Contest will happen during halftime of the 2021 All-Star Game. It is estimated to be at around 8:00 PM ET. These three events have odds available in your gambling solutions software. But the main event, of course, is the All-Star Game.

The game officially starts at 8:00 ET, to be led by Team LeBron and Team Durant. Durant will not be able to play, however. The game will be using the Elam Ending Format, so keep this in mind when strategizing on your wagers. To honor Kobe Bryant, they will be using 24 in calculating the final target score. On this night alone, there are hundreds of betting options available that, if you do right, can get you a lot of winnings.
